Latest Patch Notes
Make space on your Helicarriers because S.H.I.E.L.D. is sending one of its top agents to the war effort this week. We also have Ultimus VII news, changes coming to Milestones, and two ferocious Blitzes. Now, put on a nondescript suit and report for an official S.H.I.E.L.D. briefing.
Introducing: Agent Coulson
The man, the myth, the legend is finally here: Agent Coulson. An Alliance War defensive specialist, Agent Coulson slots into Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. team as their new Controller. If you need to bolster your Helicarrier defenses or if you're looking to construct a human blast shield on your Flight Deck, Agent Coulson is your man.
Agent Coulson not only boosts his S.H.I.E.L.D. allies, but he also enjoys S.H.I.E.L.D. minion synergies, even though he's definitely not a minion. Is that all? Not likely: S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic's Emergency Treatment ability has been updated to Revive Agent Coulson 100% of the time when he's killed in battle. You just can't keep an elite government agent down!
Here's a breakdown of his abilities:
Traits: Hero, Global, Tech, Controller, S.H.I.E.L.D.
- Single target damage
- Reduce Speed Bar
- Chain to additional targets and reduce Speed Bar
- Attack primary target
- On War Defense, transfer positive effects to all non-minion S.H.I.E.L.D. allies.
- On War Defense, flip all positive effects on primary target
-Apply slow to all Tech enemies
-- Apply Offense Up to all S.H.I.E.L.D. allies
Remove all positive effects
- Apply Defense Down and Taunt to the target with the highest Damage
- Call 2 highest damage allies to assist
- Attack all
- Grant Speed Bar to S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic when Coulson drops below 50% HP
- Grant Max HP to S.H.I.E.L.D. allies on War defense
- Grant Resistance to S.H.I.E.L.D. allies on War defense
- On War Defense, grant Immunity to S.H.I.E.L.D. allies on Spawn
New Recurring Milestones
We're changing up the Recurring Milestones by adding a new character, more rewards, and improving the scoring system. First up, you can now recruit Agent Coulson via Milestones as we've added his character shards to the mix. Next, we increased the number of orbs, gear, Gold, and character shards available. Be sure to log in every day to reap the benefits.
The World Warrior Milestone has undergone several changes. Alliance War battles now earn points toward this Milestone, and to account for this change, Blitz, Raid, and Arena points have been adjusted. Lastly, scores on the Participation Leaderboard are now visible, so you can see how you stack up against the other Commanders in your Alliance. Be on the lookout for all these changes coming up next week.
The (Permanent) Return of Ultimus VII
The most challenging Raid to date is returning, but this time it's back for good. Ultimus VII is joining the permanent Ultimus Raid lineup, but be cautioned: Ultimus VII will be more difficult than its First Strike iteration. We still recommend that only the strongest Alliances attempt Ultimus VII.
We're also changing up the rewards this time around as the First Strike rewards were event-based. Orange Gear Raid Orbs and orange T4 Ability Materials will be the primary rewards, along with Purple Gear Raid Orbs and purple T3 Ability Materials.
Ultimus VII is slated for release in October so start coordinating with your Alliance to prepare for the Mount Everest of Raids.
Update to Iron Man Legendary Event
Thanks to the community's feedback, the Iron Man Legendary Event is getting a legendary update. Going forward, "I Am Iron Man" will be permanently available via the Events section for all players level 25 and higher. We've also adjusted the requirements per tier to allow for easier access and improved completion. The final change coming is Iron Man will now unlock at 3 Stars.
Blitz Lineup: Sabretooth & M'Baku
Now live in Blitz is the Wakandan Wall: M'Baku. And be sure to stock up on Blitz Charges, because when you're done duking it out for Wakanda's Protector, clash claws in the name of the Brotherhood's bloody Brawler: Sabretooth.
That's all for this week! Until next time…
Good luck, Commander!
