Greetings Commanders,
Bring the energy and prepare to light some fireworks this week as Xavier's private jet, the Blackbird, is back again to drop off the next two members of the Astonishing X-Men team. And after the Mutant meet-and-greet, we've got the lowdown on a new Raid, our next returning Legend, a reappearing Blitz, and events to bolster your roster. We're starting things off first with a grand finale…
Jubilee
The time is nearly upon us for the arrival of Jubilee, the Astonishing X-Men's Legendary Controller. We've given you a taste of her capabilities, but today we're unveiling her entire explosive kit. Jubilee has a long history as a member of the X-Men, growing from a teenager discovering her powers, to a powerful force who has led multiple X-Men teams, while providing a moral compass during the group's many adventures. Those leadership qualities raise her up as a Legendary anchor of the Astonishing X-Men, where in addition to bolstering her team, she Blinds and Stuns her enemies with mesmerizing attacks.

Bishop
Take your enemy's best shot with Bishop! Lucas Bishop is a mutant born in a dystopian 21st century timeline where Sentinels had taken control of North America, and mutants were imprisoned in relocation camps. While tracking down a mutant criminal, Bishop entered a time portal and became stranded in the past before the Sentinels took control. He eventually met Charles Xavier and became a member of his X-Men. Bishop's mutant ability allows him to manipulate and absorb most types of energy, and then re-channel this energy in the form of a concussive blast. As a member of S.T.R.I.K.E., Bishop gains Taunt & Defense Up on Spawn, Synergizes with Jubilee, and vaporizes foes with high damage attacks.

Doom Raids
The next great challenge for your Alliance is now on the horizon: Doom Raids!
This new Raid will put your Alliance and entire roster to the test. The Doom Raid lanes will feature a set order of trait requirements -- Bio >> Skill >> Tech >> Mystic >> Mutant -- and each lane will start at a different point in the order. So, for example, if you have a weaker Mutant team, you could take the lane that starts with Bio and not have to use a Mutant team until the end of the lane. Doom Raids will also be more challenging than Ultimus VII and will feature enemies equipped with Iso-8 (for the first time). You’ll be able to preview the Iso-8 Classes on the list of enemies for each node prior to battle.
With the addition of the Doom Raid, Ultimus Raid Keys have been converted into the new Ultimate Raid Key. These keys are earned the same way as Ultimus Raid Keys: spending Campaign Energy (up to 600 per day), will earn you the Ultimate Raid Keys which can be used to unlock both Ultimus and Doom Raids.
The new Doom Raid is scheduled to appear this February. We'll have more information in the near future, including the rewards, so be on the lookout.
Character Availability Update
Just in time for Jubilee's Legendary event, members of the Pym Tech team are heading to Campaign nodes. Be on the lookout in the coming week for your chance to earn character shards for Stature and Yellowjacket in the following locations:
Stature: Cosmic 1-9
Yellowjacket: Doom 3-6
And, as a reminder, you can find shards for Ghost in the War Store.
We will have more information to share on where to earn more Beast character shards in the near future.
Returning Legendary Event
If you've encountered Nick Fury's "Out of Office" message, that's because S.H.I.E.L.D.'s infamous spy is heading back to the battlefield for the return of his Legendary Event, "Chasing Fury." You'll need a Kree team at a minimum of 5-Stars to recruit Nick Fury, so start bolstering your blue aliens.
Upcoming Blitzes
Add the power of Wakanda and the X-Men to your roster with these upcoming Blitzes. Royal rewards are up for grabs first in the Warrior King Blitz, where you can claw your way to Black Panther character shards. And hot on his tail is the second run of the Into the Shadow Blitz, featuring Kitty Pryde. Don't let her character shards slip through your fingers, as you'll want this untouchable Protector to backstop your powerful Astonishing X-Men team.
Bonus Events
See double on your roster with events to line your pockets with more character shards.
If you're looking to fuel the fire for Phoenix's Legendary Event, don't miss the Malicious Manipulators Event which rewards 2x character shards for select Villain Mystic Controllers for a limited-time in the following nodes:
Hela: Villains 7-6
Loki: Mystic 3-6
Nobu: Villains 6-3
Hand Assassin: Nexus 7-6
Calling All Agents is next where you can earn double shard rewards for S.H.I.E.L.D. members in their designated Campaign nodes:
Captain America: Heroes 3-6 & Nexus 1-3
Black Widow: Villains 1-9
Hawkeye: Heroes 1-9
Quake: Heroes 6-6
S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault: Nexus 2-3
S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic: Villains 1-6
S.H.I.E.L.D. Operative: Heroes 4-3
S.H.I.E.L.D. Trooper: Villains 4-3
And rounding out the doubled fun is Bad Science, where you can make your A.I.M. team come alive with 2x character shards here:
Scientist Supreme: Cosmic 2-9
A.I.M. Assaulter: Heroes 5-3
A.I.M. Security: Villains 5-3
That's all for this week!
Until next time…
Good luck, Commanders!
