5.6.0 Release Notes

Introducing: Deathpool! The daughter of Deadpool and the cosmic entity Death, Deathpool is MARVEL Strike Force's contribution to Deadpool's year-long 30th Anniversary celebration.


Arriving over the course of this release:

  • EDIT ON 8/19: The Arena timer was removed, as the method to see a player and start a battle has slightly change
  • Enhance your Roster with 4 new playable characters: Deathpool, Cloak, Dagger, and Shang-Chi.
  • New costumes: Shang-Chi - Battle Armor, Doctor Strange - What If…?, Invisible Woman - Ultimate, Carnage - Absolute Carnage, Taskmaster - Red Room, Emma Frost - Dawn of X
  • Assemble a top squad with the limited-time Devoted trait for the Deathpool Event Campaign: Shadow of Deathpool
  • New Advanced Setting: Auto-Basic Combat - Save Special and Ultimate abilities for later use by auto-playing using only a character's Basic ability during combat. To activate, go to "Settings" >> Advanced >> Auto-Basic Combat. A new button will appear in combat to toggle when you tap the Auto button.
  • Updates to Mojo's Mayhem: Removed Ability Daily and Weekly Objectives, multiple rotations of bans each week, and bans now include Roles (Protector, Brawler, Blaster, Controller, Support) and Origins (Bio, Mystic, Mutant, Tech, Skill)
  • Isotope-8 Campaign nodes now reward Commander XP
  • Updated Ultra Store Badging: Now when you have Ultimus at 7 Stars, the red badge number on the Ultra Tab won't include the number of Ultimus Orbs available
  • Upgrading to gear tiers 11 and 12 no longer trigger alerts in Alliance Chat.
  • "Open Multiple Orbs at Once" is now the default action for select orbs
  • Updated Roster Sort: You can now sort by character level (ascending and descending) on the roster screen
  • New Saved Squads tabs for War, Arena, Raids, and Blitz -- each with 40 available Squads for a total of 160 (newer players will need to level up to unlock all slots).
  • Max Commander Level increased to 85


Bug Fixes

  • Elektra's Level 5 Passive Ability, "Death's Grace," was not applying Evade to herself on Spawn.
  • Maria Hill's Basic ability, "Close Range Support," was causing animation issues during battle. This is a visual correction, as the attack was working correctly.
  • Moondragon was disappearing from the battlefield after eliminating an enemy with a Counterattack.
  • When notched mobile devices' Auto-Rotate mode was active and the Portrait Screen Orientation Advanced Option was enabled, visual issues would occur after choosing a team.
  • While wearing the "Siege" Costume, Thor was visually stretching across the screen after being eliminated from battle.
  • Text Fix: Phyla-Vell's Passive ability, "Avatar of Oblivion," now correctly states she grants Drain to all allies who possess Deathproof. The combat behavior has always been correct and remains unchanged.
  • A red badge was appearing on the Challenges icon for Origin Challenges when there were no Origin Challenges available to play.
  • The Elite Store tab and Iso-8 Store tab swapped positions in the Store tab order.
  • Text Fix: The Level 5 description for Iron Fist's Special Ability, "Inner Peace," incorrectly stated it healed the most injured City Hero for 30% of this character's Max Health, when it should be 10%. The combat behavior has always been correct and remains unchanged.
  • Crafting gear per-piece was costing more Gold than crafting gear all at once.



Character Updates

Power Calculation Updates

The following characters' Power was not correctly calculating stat gains from their Passive abilities. This was just a visual change.


  • Heimdall: Focus
  • Hela: Damage (Not Health nor Per Asgardian)
  • Human Torch: Damage
  • Invisible Woman: Health


Iron Fist

Ability: Martial Arts

Old:

  • Attack target for 250% damage. Chain to 2 adjacent targets for 130% damage.

New:

  • Attack target for 270% damage. Chain to 2 adjacent targets for 150% damage


Ability: The Iron Fist

Old:

  • This attack cannot be blocked.

New:

  • This attack cannot be blocked. If Shang-Chi is an ally, this attack cannot be dodged


Luke Cage

Ability: Power man

Old:

  • Gain +5% Armor
  • Gain +10% Max Health per DEFENDER and HEROES FOR HIRE ally.

New:

  • Gain +10% Armor
  • Gain +25% Max Health per DEFENDER and HEROES FOR HIRE ally.
  • On WAR DEFENSE, if this character starts with 4 or more HEROES FOR HIRE allies, then whenever a HEROES FOR HIRE ALLY drops below 60% Health, gain Taunt.


Deadpool

Ability: Passive - "Merc With A Mouth"

Old:

  • On Turn, clear all negative effects from Self. If negative effects removed, Heal 15% of Max Health + 15% per negative effect removed.
  • On Kill, generate Ability Energy for an allied Cable.
  • 5% chance to Revive at 10% of Max Health. If Domino is an ally, 100% chance to Revive at 80% of Max Health.

New:

  • On Turn, clear all negative effects from Self. If negative effects removed, Heal 15% of Max Health + 15% per negative effect removed.
  • On Kill, generate Ability Energy for an allied Cable.
  • 5% chance to Revive at 10% of Max Health. If Domino or Deathpool is an ally, 100% chance to Revive at 80% of Max Health.
