July 27, 2022

Experience the next chapter of the epic Apocalypse story with the introduction of the new Saga game mode! Complete the Pestilence Saga to earn Awakened Ability Materials and an exclusive "Pestilence" costume for Apocalypse's first Horseman, Morgan Le Fay.


Arriving over the course of this release:

  • Enhance your roster with 5 new playable characters: Deathlok, Viv Vision, Hulkbuster, Brawn, and Abomination
  • Ability and Stat improvements for Vision and Iron Man to synergize with Deathlok, Hulkbuster, and Viv Vision on the new Bionic Avenger team. The Bionic Avenger team excels as a Tech Raid team and will also be used to help unlock the Fourth Horseman
  • New Costumes: Morgan Le Fay - Pestilence, Valkyrie - King of Asgard, She-Hulk - Attorney at Law
  • Assemble a top squad with the limited-time "Iron-Willed" trait for Viv Vision's Event Campaign: Life Cycle
  • Techno Future - Participate in select August Events to recruit Deathlok
  • New Doom III Raid - The newest tier of Doom Raids awards the Teal Elite Orb, which contains Gear Tier 16 and 17 mini-uniques. Every node requires Iso-8 T2 Level 3 be equipped, but alliances completing Doom II at Difficulty 1 or higher should be ready to take on this challenge!
  • War Update - War Boosts and rooms updated with "Minor Deflect," which gives 100% Block Chance without the additional chance to negate the application of a negative effect.
  • New Cosmic Crucible Leagues - Leagues are now live! Your league is based on your Tribunal Rating, and are divided into: Master, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Increasing your league increases the rewards you get at the end of a Crucible.
  • New Gear Tier 17 and new Armory 17 Orb
  • Power Core purchase confirmation - You'll now be prompted to confirm purchases of 1,000 Power Cores or more. Once confirmed, this prompt will not ask again until the next day, and it can be disabled in the Advanced Settings. Additionally, there is a confirmation pop-up when you switch from using currency to using Power Cores when opening orbs.
  • New: Origin Challenges Tier 4 and 5 - Earn Teal, Orange, and Purple Gear rewards in the newly added tiers 4 and 5. Tier 4 requires 5 characters of the specified origin to have T2 Level 2 Iso-8 equipped while Tier 5 requires T2 Level 3 Iso-8. Players are recommended to battle with characters at 85+ level, 7 Yellow Stars, 4 Red Stars, Gear Tier 15, max ability levels, and the full 25% Stark Tech bonus.
  • After tapping "Find" for an item, you'll now be shown all possible locations where an item can be found and see "Refresh to Find In" for locations that require a Store refresh
  • Doom II Raid Updates: The unlock requirement for Difficulties 1-3 has been reduced to 60% completion of the previous difficulty; the completion threshold for earning First Time Rewards in Difficulties 1-3 has been reduced to 60%
  • General Doom Raid Update: First Strike, Doom I, and Doom II now award 240 T3 Ability Materials at all completion thresholds
  • Armory 16 Orb Update: A third pillar has been added that drops Gold


Bug Fixes

  • Players must now participate in at least one Cosmic Crucible Trial to be eligible for rewards at the end of the tournament.
  • Jessica Jones's Ultimate Ability, "Rejection," was being Resisted when she had the Skirmisher Iso-8 Class equipped.
  • The text for Scarlet Spider's Ultimate Ability, "Clone Crush," was missing that the attack is unavoidable. The combat behavior is correct and remains unchanged.
  • The bonus attack on Gambit's Basic Ability, "Ante Up," was failing to activate if all of the remaining enemies had Stealth.
  • The text for Okoye's Ultimate Ability, "Aerial Impalement," was missing that Charge will be lost after the ability is used. The combat behavior is correct and remains unchanged.
  • The "Download all Assets on Wi-Fi" advanced setting was not functioning as intended in the previous version, and we fixed it.
  • The Costume tab in the Store had shifted placement in the previous update. We moved it to its original location.
  • Players are no longer being logged out of their Scopely account after an hour of inactivity.


Known Issues

  • Attack sound effects are missing for Morgan Le Fay while her Pestilence costume is equipped.
  • Most of Morgan Le Fay will appear completely invisible while in Stealth with her Pestilence costume equipped.
  • Most of Valkyrie will appear completely invisible while in Stealth with her King Valkyrie costume equipped.
  • Pistol special effects are missing for some characters.

Iron Man Updates

Base stat Increases

  • Health +56%
  • Damage +29%
  • Focus +93%

Basic - Repulsor Blast

Old:

  • Attack primary target for 280% damage. 30% chance to Chain to up to 2 adjacent targets for 230% damage.
  • Counterattack breaks this Chain.

New:

  • Attack primary target for 280% damage + apply Defense Down.
  • Chain to 2 adjacent targets for 230% damage + apply Defense Down.
  • Gain an Assist from a random Hulkbuster ally.
  • Counterattack does not break this Chain.


Special - Rocket Barrage

Old:

  • Attack all enemies for 210% damage. If Captain America is your ally, attack all enemies for 300% damage instead.
  • This attack is unavoidable.


New:

  • Attack all enemies for 300% damage + prolong the duration of all negative effects by 1 on each target.  
  • In RAIDS, generate 1 Ability Energy for adjacent BIONIC AVENGER allies. 

This attack is unavoidable.


Developer note: If Captain America is on the team, Iron Man will fire his blast onto Captain America’s shield for a different visual effect. The damage remains the same.


Ultimate - Unibeam

Old:

  • Attack primary target for 600% damage.


New:

  • Attack primary target for 700% damage.
  • Generate 1 Ability Energy for 2 random BIONIC AVENGER allies.
  • In RAIDS, generate 1 Ability Energy for self and all BIONIC AVENGER allies instead.
  • If this character has 3 or more BIONIC AVENGER allies, this attack cannot be blocked or dodged.


Passive - Stark Upgrades

Old:

  • Gain +15% Extra Crit chance. Apply +15% Extra Crit chance to TECH allies. Apply +10% Extra Crit chance to all allies. Gain +5% Damage for each POWER ARMOR or WAVE I - AVENGER ally.


New:

  • Gain +5% Damage for each BIONIC AVENGER, POWER ARMOR, or WAVE I - AVENGER ally.
  • Gain +25% Crit Chance.
  • Allies gain +10% Crit Chance.
  • TECH allies gain an additional +5% Crit Chance.
  • BIONIC AVENGER allies gain an additional +5% Crit Chance.
  • Gain +40% Crit Damage.
  • BIONIC AVENGER allies gain +20% Crit Damage.
  • In RAIDS:
  • > Gain an additional +15% Crit Chance
  • > BIONIC AVENGER allies gain an additional +20% Crit Chance
  • > BIONIC AVENGER allies gain an additional +20% Crit Damage

Basic - Heavy Hitter

Old:

  • Attack primary target for 260% damage + Chain to up to 2 additional targets for 220% damage. Apply Offense Down to each target + apply Bleed against each TECH enemy.
  • Counterattack breaks this Chain.

New:

  • Attack primary target for 260% damage + Chain to 2 adjacent targets for 230% damage. Apply Offense Down to each target + apply Bleed to each TECH target.
  • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
  • Gain an Assist from a random Viv Vision ally.


Special - Dive Bomb

Old:

  • Attack primary target for 230% damage + adjacent targets for 160% damage. Apply Ability Block to primary target + 1 additional target.

New:

  • Attack primary target for 230% damage and adjacent targets for 160% damage.
  • Apply Ability Block to primary target and 1 adjacent target. 
  • If the primary target is TECH, apply Ability Block for 2 turns to that character.
  • Generate 1 Ability Energy for a random BIONIC AVENGER ally that was not at full energy on start of the current turn.
  • Generate 1 Ability Energy for a random Viv Vision ally.


Ultimate - Solar Beam

Old:

  • Attack all targets for 250% damage + clear 2 positive effects on each target.
  • If Scarlet Witch is your ally, apply Bleed to each target in addition.

New:

  • Attack all enemies for 300% damage, clear 2 positive effects, and apply Bleed.
  • In RAIDS:
  • > Reduce Speed Bar by 30% for all enemies.
  • > Generate 1 Ability Energy for all adjacent BIONIC AVENGER allies.
  • If this character has 3 or more BIONIC AVENGER allies, this attack is unavoidable.


Passive - Density Manipulation

Old:

  • Gain +25% Extra Dodge chance. Gain Defense Up for 2 turns. On Spawn, all TECH allies gain Defense Up for 2 turns.


New:

  • On Spawn:
  • > Gain Defense Up for 2 turns.
  • > Apply Defense Up for 2 turns to all TECH allies.
  • > In RAIDS, apply Immunity for 2 turns to self and all BIONIC AVENGER allies.
  • When an ally Viv Vision drops below 50% Health, apply Deathproof to that character.
  • On ally Viv Vision Ability Block, clear all negative effects on that character.
  • Gain 25% Dodge chance.
  • Gain 50% Focus. BIONIC AVENGER allies gain 25% Focus.
  • In RAIDS, BIONIC AVENGER allies gain an additional 25% Focus.


Hulk Updates

Hulk stat increases

  • Health +18%
  • Damage +33%
  • Armor +33%
  • Focus +72%
  • Resist +61%


Basic - Smash

Old:

  • Attack primary target for 300% damage. If this character is below 50% Health, multiply damage by 1.5.

New:

  • Attack primary target for 300% damage.
  • If this character is below 50% Health or has Charged, this attack gains +50% Damage.
  • If this character has Charged, lose 1 Charged.


Special - Rage


Old:

  • Gain Taunt. If any ally is a WAVE I - AVENGER, gain 3 Counter. Clear all negative effects from self.
  • If this character's Health is below 50%, Heal self for 7,000 Health + 20% of Max Health.


New:

  • If this character is below 50% Health or has Charged, attack primary target for 500% damage.
  • Gain Taunt. If this character has any GAMMA or WAVE I - AVENGER allies, gain 5 Counter.
  • Clear all negative effects from self.
  • Heal self for 7,000 Health + 30% of this character's Max Health.
  • Gain +1 Charged, up to a max of 5.


Ultimate - Leap

Old:

  • Attack primary target for 330% damage and adjacent enemies for 260% damage. If this character is below 50% Health, multiply damage by 1.5.


New:

  • Attack primary target for 330% damage and adjacent enemies for 260% damage.
  • If this character is below 50% Health or has Charged, this attack gains +50% Damage.
  • On WAR OFFENSE, if the primary target has Revive Once, clear Revive Once from the target and this character gains Revive Once. This character can only do this once per match.
  • If this character has Charged, lose 1 Charged.


Passive - Always Angry

Old:

  • On dropping below 50% Health, fill Speed Bar by 100% + gain Offense Up + clear Stun from self. On dropping below 25% Health, gain Deathproof + clear all negative effects from self.
  • When an enemy attacks a WAVE I - AVENGER, Fill Speed Bar by 15%
  • While this character is below 50% Health, gain +33% Armor.
  • While Taunting, gain +250% Extra Resistance.
  • Gain 10% Health.

New:

  • In WAR, on Spawn, if this character has 3 or more GAMMA allies, gain Taunt.
  • When this character drops below 50% Health: fill Speed Bar by 100% + clear Stun from self + gain Offense Up and +1 Charged, up to a max of 5.
  • When this character drops below 25% Health: gain Deathproof + clear all negative effects from self + gain +1 Charged, up to a max of 5.
  • When an enemy attacks a GAMMA or WAVE I - AVENGER ally, fill Speed Bar by 15%.
  • Gain +10% Health.
  • Gain +30% Armor. GAMMA allies gain +30% Armor.
  • If this character is below 50% Health or has Charged, gain +33% Armor.
  • While this character has Taunt, gain +1,000% Resistance.


She-Hulk Updates

  • Health +29%
  • Damage +31%

Passive - Court Order


Old:

  • On Turn, Heal self for 15% of this character's Max Health.
  • On Stealth, gain Taunt + Heal self for 30% of this character's Max Health.
  • Gain +10% Damage per Charged.
  • When an enemy attacks this character or a FANTASTIC FOUR ally, gain +1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5.
  • On maximum Charged:
  • > Transfer all negative effects from self and each FANTASTIC FOUR ally to the enemy with the most Damage.
  • > Attack the enemy with the most Damage for 200% damage + all adjacent targets for 150% damage.
  • > Remove all Charged.
  • On WAR DEFENSE, gain +30% Damage for self and all FANTASTIC FOUR allies.


New:

  • On Turn, Heal self for 15% of this character's Max Health.
  • On Stealth, gain Taunt + Heal self for 30% of this character's Max Health.
  • Gain +10% Damage per Charged.
  • When an enemy attacks this character, a GAMMA ally, or a FANTASTIC FOUR ally, gain +1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5.
  • On maximum Charged:
  • > Transfer all negative effects from self, each GAMMA ally, and each FANTASTIC FOUR ally to the enemy with the most Damage. In WAR, gain +500% Focus for this action.
  • > Attack the enemy with the most Damage for 300% damage + all adjacent targets for 250% damage.
  • > Lose all Charged.
  • In WAR, gain +30% Damage for self, all GAMMA allies, and all FANTASTIC FOUR allies.
